Event Day Information
Melbourne Marathon Festival
On Sunday 14th October our community of compassion will come together to Run 4 Refugees 2018 at the Melbourne Marathon Festival.
Below is the low down on all the details you need to know for this years event but as always you can contact at firstname.lastname@example.org if you need more information.
Pre-run Group Photos
It's a tradition not to be missed so meet at MCG Light Tower 1 (between Gates 2 &3) where Tim Turner and James Loo our wonderful pro-bono photographers will once again be keen to snap some great shots of Team ASRC before we head off. Look out for the purple Run 4 Refugees flag.
Times are as follows:
10km and Half Marathon - meet at 6.45am
5km and 3km walk - meet at 10.45am
Marathon Runners are setting off super early at 7am. We know you will be keen to get to the start line so unfortunately you will miss group photos. But we're looking forward to catching up with you after your 42kms for some refreshments
Collecting Your Race Bib
One of the most important things to remember for the event this Sunday is your race bib, provided directly by the Melbourne Marathon. No Bib = No Run!
If you were an Early Bird sign up and have received your race bib in the post you're all good to go. Otherwise you will need to collect your Race Bib from the Race Week Office at these times.
Team ASRC Refreshment Zone
After your run or walk we'd love you to join us for a catch up and some light refreshments with everyone from Team ASRC - it's our way of saying thank you for all your incredible efforts. We'll be set up on a lawn close to where the group photos were taken but don't worry - we'll have some volunteers on hand as you exit the 'G' to help guide you.
Don't forget to bring your family and friends too, everyone is welcome and we'll be there from 8am - 2pm. Just look out for our purple Run 4 Refugees flag.
